Los Angeles based Alice Gu has a background in photography and film production, but not being able to find the perfect pair of sandals in 2008 for three back-to-back weddings in tropical locations lead to the launch of her footwear label. Fiel ("Fee-ahl") began with simple leather flip flops and has evolved into a global brand rooted in a timeless but modern ethos inspired by a love for travel, art, and the ocean.
